Gladstone sign Marvin Williams Jr.
Gladstone have completed their imports slots with the signing of Marvin Williams (not to be confused with the current NBA player). The 203cm tall centre graduated in 2015 from NCAA Division I team Lousiana-Monroe averaging 8.4 points (57.4% from the field) and 4.7 rebounds in 21.8 minutes per game in his senior year. Prior to that Williams played junior college at NW Florida State. BE Take: Williams is a strong player with good back to the basket moves and a decent mid-range jumper. Williams gives Power an upgrade in the centre spot with the likely departure of Illiwa Baldwin. With the return of Ray Wills, Jake Allen and Yassine Ghomari it was expected that Gladstone was going to big with their second import. Gladstone have made some decent moves (still need an good unrestricted Aussie forward), but with the current playoff structure and Gladstone in the northern pool, it’s hard to see them returning back to the playoffs.
